Critical's work is influenced by a variety of artists across time and genre. He is inspired by the work of Fred Hammond, Pete Rock, Kendrick Lamar, and JCole, among many others. Rather than stick to one style, Critical “just likes to make good music." 

Critical has worked with prominent producer, Louie Bandz, and his music has been featured in commercials for local businesses such as Mission Taco. 

He is also the owner of the father-son record label, Lighthouse Music.
